
An earthquake near Kars in Turkey was felt in Armenia’s Shirak province.
On April 28 at 16:02 local time (12:02 GMT), Armenia’s Interior Ministry seismic network recorded a magnitude 3.9 earthquake 43 km north of Kars, at a depth of 10 km.
The intensity in the epicentral zone reached 5 on the seismic scale.
The tremor was felt in Shirak Province—in Gyumri city and the villages of Amasia, Zarishat, Vahramaberd, and Marmashen—with an intensity of 2–3.
The earthquake was recorded at geographic coordinates 40.98° north latitude and 43.10° east longitude.
