
Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan welcomed a delegation led by Belgian Chamber of Representatives Speaker Peter De Roover, highlighting the positive dynamics in Armenia-Belgium bilateral relations.
De Roover thanked Armenian officials for the warm reception and stressed that he was glad to be in Yerevan during what he described as a historic period for Armenia.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on Armenia-Belgium bilateral relations, the first Armenia-European Union summit and its outcomes, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and the broad economic opportunities emerging from it.
The 8th summit of the European Political Community took place in Yerevan on May 4, followed by the first Armenia-European Union summit. Around 50 high-level delegations arrived in Armenia for the events, including European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. French President Emmanuel Macron also visited Yerevan, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made his first visit to Armenia.
