The Christian Democratic Party launched its election campaign with a visit to Khor Virap attended by party leader Levon Shirinyan.

He stated that the “pro-Russian treacherous segment” must be politically defeated, according to Factor.am .

“The gauntlet has been thrown down, and the Armenian people are plunging into the whirlwind of an uncompromising parliamentary struggle for strengthening the country’s independence and national revival. The only way out lies in the political crushing of the Russian treacherous segment. The Armenian criminal oligarchy operating under Kiriyenko’s supervision must not enter the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia,” Shirinyan said.
