Russia’s Rosselkhoznadzor has stated that problems related to supplies from Armenia concern not only flowers, but also fruits and vegetables. The statement was made by Rosselkhoznadzor head Sergei Dankvert.
“The issue is that we have problems not only with flowers, but also with vegetables and fruits,” Dankvert said, according to TASS.
He noted that inspections at Armenian enterprises will continue for another week.
“Based on the results of those inspections, we will make a decision,” the agency head added.
Dankvert also said the Russian side remains in contact with Armenia’s inspection authority to resolve the existing issues.
Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor announced that temporary restrictions on flower imports from Armenia would take effect on May 22, 2026. The agency explained that although Armenia’s Food Safety Inspection Body had provided the necessary guarantees, cases of quarantine objects being detected for the Eurasian Economic Union continue to occur.
