Armenia discusses fish exports to EU

Armenian Deputy Economy Minister Tatevik Sargsyan took part on May 27 in a workshop dedicated to opportunities for exporting fish and fish products to European Union countries, the ministry said.

The event was organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC) within the framework of an EU-funded program.

During the meeting, Sargsyan said Armenia’s aquaculture sector has significant export potential and stressed the importance of diversifying export markets.

She also noted that in 2025 Armenia was added to the list of countries authorized to export aquaculture products and related goods to EU member states.

The deputy minister presented ongoing legislative and regulatory reforms implemented by the Economy Ministry to align with EU standards and improve export procedures.

Sargsyan highlighted the continued support of the European Union and the ITC for the development of the sector, emphasizing that joint efforts could help ensure the presence of Armenian fish products in international markets.
