Artsvik Minasyan, secretary of the Hayastan Alliance parliamentary faction in the National Assembly, stated at a press conference on alleged election violations that the authorities are “abusing administrative resources because they understand that the ground is slipping from beneath their feet.”
He expressed the view that the government is attempting to create a false perception among the public through various legal actions, Aysor.am reports.
According to Minasyan, the largest election violator is the government itself.
“In the pre-election atmosphere, Nikol Pashinyan is spreading hatred and hostility, crossing the boundaries of public morality. There is widespread abuse of administrative resources, and this is not only about wasting public and state budget funds or providing support that amounts to outright vote-buying. There are also obvious abuses of governing powers. Personnel and informational resources are being misused as well,” the opposition lawmaker stated.
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee has been issuing frequent reports alleging cases of vote-buying and violations of restrictions on charitable activities by opposition political forces during the election campaign.
