Armenia will send humanitarian aid to Lebanon through Turkish territory under a decision approved at a government meeting.

According to the decision, the Margara border crossing on the Armenian-Turkish border will be open from June 12 to June 22 for the transportation of humanitarian cargo.

The crossing is currently not operational, and existing legal regulations do not provide for the movement of people, goods or vehicles through this border point.

The document states that the purpose of the decision is to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Lebanon, including members of the Armenian community affected by Israeli attacks.

In 2025, Turkey temporarily opened the Margara border crossing to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid from Armenia to Syria.
