In the early morning of June 12, law enforcement officers conducted a search at the apartment of Aregnaz Manukyan, a member of the board of the Mother Armenia party and a candidate included on the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) electoral list.

According to the Investigative Committee, “investigative actions were carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings concerning treason and espionage,” reports Panorama.am.

Within the same criminal case, Andranik Tevanyan, chairman of the Mother Armenia party and a Prosperous Armenia parliamentary candidate, has been placed under arrest.

The Investigative Committee has accused Andranik Tevanyan of selling state secrets obtained from the National Assembly for 622,000 U.S. dollars.
