
There are ongoing proceedings involving individuals who arrived from Russia, Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan said while speaking with journalists in parliament.
“There are proceedings involving, yes, also our compatriots who arrived from the Russian Federation. Moreover, we have detentions among them,” the minister said, according to Factor.am .
Sargsyan stressed that all actions are being carried out strictly within procedures established by law and through lawful investigative processes.
According to her, detentions have been made in cases where authorities recorded unlawful influence on voters’ free expression of will or obstruction of the exercise of electoral rights, particularly in incidents related to the recruitment of individuals.
The interior minister stated that the detained persons have been transferred to investigative bodies for further procedural actions.
Arpine Sargsyan declined to disclose specific figures, noting that investigative and operational-search activities are ongoing. She also did not rule out the possibility of additional detentions or the application of stricter preventive measures at later stages of the process.
