
Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan received Cosmin George Dinescu, the newly appointed head of the European Union Partnership Mission in Armenia, and welcomed the decision of the EU Foreign Affairs Council to deploy a new European Union mission in the country.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the steps required for the mission to become fully operational. They emphasized the importance of close and effective cooperation with Armenian partners to ensure the successful implementation of activities arising from the mission’s mandate.
Kostanyan highlighted the mission’s role in strengthening cooperation between Armenia and the European Union in the fields of combating cyberattacks, disinformation and illicit financial flows.
The deputy foreign minister wished Cosmin George Dinescu success in carrying out the mission’s objectives and reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to support its effective operation and institutional development.
