Karapetyan claims strategy to oust Pashinyan

Strong Armenia alliance leader Samvel Karapetyan said his political force has held meetings with several opposition groups and has developed what he described as a confidential plan.

"We have met with several opposition forces. We have our confidential plan, and I will not disclose it. It is a plan to remove Pashinyan," Karapetyan told reporters outside the courthouse, according to Sputnik Armenia.

He expressed confidence that, under their plan, they would be able to remove Armenia's current authorities without difficulty.

Asked whether he or Robert Kocharyan would lead a united opposition, Karapetyan replied that Kocharyan leads the Armenia Alliance, while he heads Strong Armenia. He added that the two leaders had nothing to divide between them.

Regarding whether his alliance would take up its parliamentary mandates, Karapetyan said a decision had not yet been made but would be announced once adopted.

"There is no decision yet. We need to assess the situation. We will choose the path that allows us to remove Pashinyan as quickly as possible. We are not going to follow narratives promoted by others. We are capable of making our own decisions. When we say we will go all the way, we mean that we intend to remove Pashinyan," he said.

According to Karapetyan, his political force is currently acting within the law, has appealed to the Constitutional Court and is awaiting its ruling. He said they do not yet wish to discuss other options, referring to street protests.

On June 26, the Constitutional Court began hearing the consolidated case based on applications filed by seven political forces challenging the results of the June 7 regular parliamentary elections. The proceedings are ongoing.
