Pashinyan sends Independence Day greetings to U.S. leaders

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent congratulatory messages to U.S. President Donald Trump and U.S. Vice President JD Vance on the occasion of the United States' Independence Day.

In his message to President Trump, Pashinyan extended congratulations to the president, his family and the American people, noting that this year's celebration is particularly significant as it marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. He said the anniversary reflects the enduring strength of the principles of freedom and independence established by the country's Founding Fathers.

The prime minister described Independence Day as a symbol of the resilience and determination of the American people, adding that these qualities have enabled the United States to play a leading role in global affairs and international relations.

Pashinyan wrote that Armenia and the United States are linked by a longstanding friendship as well as shared interests aimed at strengthening peace, stability, and prosperity. He also emphasized what he described as President Trump's determined leadership in advancing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to the message, the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" initiative, which the two countries are beginning to implement in practical terms, is expected to become an important guarantee for peace and contribute to a more peaceful, interconnected and prosperous region.

The Armenian prime minister also referred to the Peace Council initiative launched by President Trump, noting Armenia's participation as a founding member and describing it as another example of the shared vision of Armenia and the United States for lasting peace.

Pashinyan stated that the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries has expanded into new areas of mutual interest and expressed confidence that continued implementation of the bilateral agenda will further strengthen relations for the benefit of both nations.

He wished President Trump good health and continued success, while extending wishes of peace, prosperity and progress to the people of the United States.

In his message to Vice President JD Vance, Pashinyan congratulated him on the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, describing July 4 as an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of freedom and independence.

He said those principles form the foundation of the American identity and have enabled the United States to make a lasting contribution to international peace, security and cooperation with partner countries.

Pashinyan also recalled Vance's visit to Armenia in February this year, describing it as an important step in deepening bilateral relations. He said the visit helped strengthen cooperation in the economy, energy, defence and other sectors, while reinforcing high-level political dialogue and mutual trust between the two countries.
