Army chief introduces new unit commander

On July 7, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, attended a ceremony marking Major General Armen Gyozalyan's completion of service in a special army formation. The event included the formal transfer of the formation's battle flag.

The Chief of the General Staff thanked Major General Armen Gyozalyan for his effective service and introduced the formation's newly appointed commander, Major General Garegin Poghosyan, to the personnel.

On July 6, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan conducted working visits to the 3rd and 2nd Army Corps.

At the 3rd Army Corps, Asryan attended a ceremony marking the completion of service by Major General Simon Nazaryan.

He then visited the 2nd Army Corps, where he took part in a ceremony marking the completion of service by Major General Garegin Poghosyan. During the visit, the Chief of the General Staff introduced the corps' newly appointed commander, Major General Simon Nazaryan, to its personnel.
