
The risk of Ebola entering and spreading in Armenia continues to be assessed as low, according to the country's National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
Based on global epidemiological data available as of 09:00 on July 17, the last confirmed Ebola patient in Uganda has been discharged from hospital.
Uganda has now begun the 42-day countdown established by the World Health Organization (WHO). If no new cases are detected during that period, the outbreak will be declared over. Enhanced epidemiological surveillance remains in place.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to experience an Ebola outbreak, with 2,073 confirmed cases and 796 deaths reported.
According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the risk of Ebola transmission in the European Union and the European Economic Area remains very low.
There is currently no WHO-approved treatment or licensed vaccine specifically targeting Ebola caused by the Bundibugyo strain.
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said it will continue monitoring the international epidemiological situation and coordinating with international partners.
