
An Armenia-Iran expert forum has opened in Syunik, bringing together representatives of leading think tanks and experts from both countries.
The official opening ceremony was attended by Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan, who delivered welcoming remarks. In his speech, he praised the friendly relations between Armenia and Iran and emphasized their importance for Armenia, particularly for the Syunik region. The governor welcomed the participants and wished them productive and substantive discussions.
Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami also welcomed the participants, thanked them for attending and expressed confidence that the work of the expert groups would contribute to the further development of cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The forum aims to help align the approaches of Yerevan and Tehran, identify new areas of bilateral cooperation and develop practical recommendations for decision-making bodies.
During the event, expert discussions will focus on political, economic and regional developments, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the forum, participants are expected to formulate recommendations and outline future plans for institutional cooperation between Armenian and Iranian expert communities.
