
The executive board of Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party has selected its candidates for the chairs of the National Assembly's standing committees through a closed and secret ballot. Prime Minister and party chairman Nikol Pashinyan announced the decision during a briefing after the party board meeting, Armenpress reports.
The Civil Contract executive board decided to recommend the following candidates to the party's parliamentary faction for the positions of standing committee chairs:
Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs — Nazeli Baghdasaryan
Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports — Sisak Gabrielyan
Standing Committee on Health — Lusine Badalyan
Standing Committee on European Integration — Sona Ghazaryan
Standing Committee on Foreign Relations — Sargis Khandanyan
Standing Committee on Defense and Security — Vilen Gabrielyan
Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs — Zaruhi Batoyan
Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs — Arusyak Julhakyan
Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration — Trdat Sargsyan
Standing Committee on Territorial Administration and Environmental Protection — Vahe Ghalumyan
Standing Committee on Economic Affairs — Babken Tunyan
Standing Committee on Financial, Credit and Budgetary Affairs — Tsovinar Vardanyan
According to the final election results, the parliamentary seat distribution is as follows: Civil Contract — 64 seats, Strong Armenia — 29 seats, and Hayastan Alliance — 12 seats.
