«ArmenTel» company's monopoly in Armenia's telecommunication sphere is not a bar for the country's joining the World trade organization any more. According to «Arminfo» agency reports, a final agreement on «ArmenTel»'s monopoly terms is reached. The WTO leadership has agreed on the reservation of the company's monopoly in the telecommunication sphere until 2012. (The corresponding agreement for 15 years was concluded with the Greek OTE Company in 1998) It should be reminded that the issue of «ArmenTel»'s monopoly was a serious bar as the WTO countries-members are working on reduction of monopolistic rights in the international market.
