Deputy Foreign Ministry of Russia, personal representative of President Putin at the negotiations on the status of the Caspian Viktor Kalyuzhniy stated it was necessary to restore the railway communication between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to the information of "Mediamax" agency, Kalyuzhniy made the statement while appearing in Cambridge at "Caspian Sea: new epoch policy" conference. Russia will make all efforts to attain Karabakh conflict settlement. But we consider that today such "small steps" as restoration of the railway communication would contribute to the negotiation process under the conditions when the parties are not ready to a comprehensive peace agreement yet," - deputy head of the Russian foreign department stated.
