Percentage of criminal cases solved in Armenia increased
The number of crimes in Armenia increased by 57% in the period from January to October 2009, RA Police PR officer said.

"The number of crimes in the period from January to October 2008 was 6825. During the same period of 2009, the figure reached 10719," Sayat Shirinyan said, adding that the percentage of criminal cases solved in Armenia increased as well.

"The number of committed felonies grew by 30.3%," he said. "Cases of illegal arms trade and drug traffic exceeded last year's index by 77.7% and 50.5% respectively. 28 kg 480 g of drugs were confiscated," he said.
