Street in Diarbekir named after Armenian writer
One of the streets in Diarbekir, the biggest town in the south-east of Turkey, has been named after Turkish writer of Armenian decent Mkrtich Markosyan. Decision to rename the street was made by the town's Mayor Abdullah Demirbas, "Agos" Turkish-Armenian newspaper reported. The opening ceremony was attended by the writer himself,

Earlier, a street in Istanbul was named after Hrant Dink, the assassinated Editor-in-Chief of Agos.
