«Republic» party leaders have spread a statement where their indignation is stated «the attempt of the leadership to compromise the name of late Prime Minister Vazgen Sarkisyan». The spreading of the information that a suit against Sarkisyan is filed is called the attempt. It should be reminded that a week ago, in a number of Yerevan media was an information regarding the suit filed against Vazgen Sarkisyan killed October 1999 by terrorists. It was reported that he is suspected of beating of the participants of antigovernment demonstration September 1996. The Office of Public Prosecutor has denied this information noting that the suit is filed not against a concrete person but against the committed crime. As it is known there are evidences of the witnesses that took part in the beating of Vazgen Sarkisyan. But the press service of the Office of Public Prosecutor has reported that the investigation has no forcible evidences proving Sarkisyan's connection with the happened.
