EU COUNTRIES DISCUSS GEORGE BUSH'S THREATS MADE TO IRAN, IRAQ AND NORTH KOREA
George Bush's threats made to Iran, Iraq and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea may divide the European Union and the USA. Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Pique, who is presiding at EU Council of Ministers at present, has appeared with such statement. Let us remind that in his recent appeal to the nation US President George Bush called Iran, Iraq and North Korea countries making "the axis of evil". Speaking of relations between Europe and Teheran, with which Europe intends to sign a treaty on cooperation, Pique noted that the European Union would continue making all efforts to reach such agreement. According to Pique's testimony, Iran has shown itself good in the international fight against terror. "We took into consideration the US position, but the EU has its own way of development," – head of the Spanish foreign department noted. In this regard EU's External Affairs Commissioner Chris Patten cited Winston Churchill's words, " The problem with the allies is that sometimes they have own opinions."
