Commander of Sasuntsi Davit detachment Hamlet Hovsepyan, Arabo detachment commander Manvel Eghiazaryan and Karabakh war hero Samvel Matevosyan gave a press conference Thursday on occasion of the 18th anniversary of the Armenian Army formation.

“I was often asked why I left the post of a judge and went to the front. The answer is simple: who if not me?” said Hamlet Hovsepyan. “When our detachment was formed the soldiers were armed with shotguns. Now, the Armenian army is developing day by day and serves the state,” he said adding that during the battles in Yeraskh, Armenia missed a historical chance to win back Nakhijevan, because of the ban of the Soviet Union.

“Bravery not power is the driving force in a war,” Manvel Eghiazaryan said for his part.
