Arthur Abraham intends to knock Dirrell out

Unbeaten super middleweight contender Arthur Abraham is preparing his battle with Andre Dirrell on March 6 in California. Abraham-Dirrell is the first fight in Showtime's second stage of the Super Six tournament. Win or lose, Abraham's opponent in the third stage is WBC champion Carl Froch, who faces Mikkel Kessler on April 17 in Denmark.

Abraham told BoxingScene.com his fight with Froch will take place on English soil, which gives the champion, should he beat Kessler, the homefield advantage. A London venue is likely says Abraham.

Abraham's first round bout was held in Germany last October. He stopped Jermain Taylor in the twelfth round. The knockout win gave him three points and put him in the lead of the Super Six tourney. He wants to stop Dirrell and it's not about the points. Abraham is a little nervous about letting the fight head to judges. He wants to knock Dirrell out to avoid any possible close decision not going his way. He won't be alone in the fight. Abraham says a decent Armenian crowd should be present to support him in California.
