Meline Daluzyan wins silver medal of European Weightlifting Championship

On April 9, Meline Daluzyan, winner of the European Championship in 2007 and 2008 and bronze medalist of the 2006 world championships, started her participation in the European Championship-2010 taking place in Minsk, Belarus, in a new category – 69kg.

Daluzyan lifted 115kg in snatch, winning small silver medal. Shemshat Tuliayeva also lifted 115kg, but due to her personal weight Daluzyan left the Belarusian weightlifter behind her.

Daluzyan used all three attempts in clean and jerk, starting from 135kg and finishing with 145kg. Here Daluzyan again won silver medal, as she was heavier by 4gr than Oksana Slivenko from Russia, who also lifted 145kg.

Eventually, Daluzyan won silver medal of the European championship with 260kg in combination. Oksana Slivenko won the championship with 262kg.
