18 ANTHRAX CASES REGISTERED IN ARMENIA

18 cases of anthrax are registered in Armenia during the current year. Head sanitary physician of Armenia, Professor Vladimir Davidyants reported the Ministry of Health of the Republic had enough antibiotics at its disposal to treat the disease. In his words, anthrax is easy to treat and there are specialists in the country, who know how to do it. Head sanitary physician did not exclude the possibility of biological attacks by terrorists against Armenia. In his opinion, "jokes" with sending envelopes with suspicious powders is real banditry that should be severely punished. Davidyants reported there was a special brigade at the Ministry of Health, which was able to determine the composition of those powders within a few hours.
