ISLAMIST ORGANIZATIONS ACTING IN AZERBAIJAN LAY FOUNDATION FOR DRUG MAFIA SYNDICATE ACTIVITIES
According to "Sobitia" newspaper issued in Baku, a number of ultra-extremist organizations that "are engaged in forcible introduction of Islam having selfish ends", are operating in Azerbaijani northern region. Among them are "Jihad", "Ihvanul muslimin", "Khizbut Tahrir', "Gutbiye". The newspaper states that these "so-called Islamic but, in reality, criminal structures really work for the development of "jihad" in the territories of the Caucasus and the Central Asia in order to establish their own political units as a foundation for future "caliphate" of transnational drug mafia syndicates".
