Azerbaijani ministry of national defense has stated about the arrest of the illegal military unit head Kenan Shabanov and its 12 members. Baku resident Kenan Israfil oghlu Shabanov, being under the influence of radical vakhabizm, recruited Azerbaijani citizens for participation in military operations in foreign countries. The list of the countries where the Islam soldiers, recruited by Shabanov, fought is not made public. But it is known that three unit member: Javid Muftizade, Anver Askerov and Tofiga Abdulragimova were killed in Chechnya and Abkhazia.
