Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian will take part in the 23rd Leon Rapid that will take place from June 3 to 7, 2010. Boris Gelfand (Israel), Leinier Dominguez (Cuba) and Paco Vallejo (Spain) are the other participants to compete.

Another Armenian grandmaster, Varuzhan Akobian took part in an Open Tournament in Chicago. Gaining 6.5 points, he finished 7th.

Meanwhile, Sergei Grigoriants won silver at the 2010 Moscow Championship.
