Comparing Kosovo and Karabakh, Dr. Dominique Wolton, Research Director at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) said the conflict in former Yugoslavia has caused plenty of difficulties for European media, which could hardly understand the developments.
“The problem of Karabakh is more complicated. European journalists are lazy to reach here to see what’s going on,” Dr. Wolton told a news conference in Yerevan.
According to him, French media should be interested in covering the conflict and comparing the Balkans with the Caucasus not only because Turkey is involved in both conflicts but also because the political situation is similar.
“These conflicts have much in common,” Dr. Wolton said.
