0.8% deflation recorded in consumer market of Armenia in June 2010

The RA National Statistical Service reported that 0.8% deflation was recorded in consumer market of Armenia in June as compared with May 2010. The prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) decreased by 1.2%, while for non-foods - by 0.9%. Besides, 0.1% growth was recorded in tariffs for services during the reporting period.

The index of consumer prices made 105.8% in April 2010 as compared with the same period of last year, also for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) - 104.9%, non-foods - 108.3%, services - 106.2%; while the index of consumer prices in January-June 2010 made 107.3%, 105.1%, 113.4% and 108.5% respectively as compared with the same period of 2009.
