Claudia Cardinale: I have performed with the most attractive actors of the world, but I have never fallen into their trap

Italian actress Claudia Cardinale said that if she is again suggested to perform in Mayrig (Mother) film by Henri Verneuil, she would not change anything in the role, as it is a known fact that Armenians and Italians are much alike, including in appearance.

Commenting on images preferred by her, Cardinale said that ordinary people spent one life, while she has spent 130 lives. "However, an actress should be very strong not to lose herself in a range of roles," Cardinale told a press conference on July 12.

As for her famous partners, she said: "I have performed with the most attractive actors of the world, but I have never fallen into their trap."

"I would agree to perform also in a film by Armenian directors, but on condition of a good script," stressed Cardinale.

Referring to Golden Apricot festival, Cardinale said that she has participated in different festivals during her 52-year career, adding that the Armenian festival is well organized.

"Many books on Armenia's culture and traditions have been granted to me, and I will read them upon my arrival in France. Besides, I will watch some Armenian films, which I saw as part of the festival," concluded Cardinale.
