IRAN WILL GIVE EXPORT QUOTAS TO ARMENIA
Iran will give Armenia quotas for cigarette and lamp export. Armenian Minister of Industry and Trade Karen Chshmaritian stated this at a press conference on the results of the Iranian delegation's visit to Yerevan. As reported by "Arka" agency, the Armenian Government intends to appeal to the Iranian side to render quotas for electric motor and other equipment export. Joint Armenian-Iranian Committee is created to sign the corresponding agreement. It is expected that giving quotas will create auspicious conditions for developing bilateral commercial-economic cooperation. An agreement on Iran giving a 20 million-dollar credit to Armenian entrepreneurs for importing Iranian products to Armenia is also achieved. Iranian Minister of Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari declared it at the press conference in Yerevan today. Let us note that the Iranian delegation headed by Islamic Republic of Iran Minister of Industry Mohammad Shariatmadari arrived in Yerevan September 11 on the invitation of his Armenian Colleague Karen Chshmaritian. The delegation held a number of meetings with Armenian authorities, in particular with Armenian President Robert Kocharian, Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian, and Minister of Energy Karen Galustian.
