Georgia detains vessel with Armenian cargo

On July 29, Georgia’s coast guard has seized the Ukrainian dry cargo vessel Accord loaded with grain for Armenia. The vessel coming from Rostov-on-Don has been detained for breaching regulations on entering Abkhazia's maritime zone – the vessel was in Sukhumi in June 2010, Lenta.ru reported.

The crew of Accord – 11 citizens of Ukraine and a citizen of Russia – has been accused of breaching regulations on navigation in Georgia's territorial waters.

Currently, the vessel is in Poti, while the Ukrainian consular agency in Batumi and consular department of the Georgian Foreign Ministry keep the case under control, Segodnya.ua reported.
