It's painfully clear from Turkey's record - including, as recently as just a few days ago when Turkish police threw Armenian children out of Akhtamar Church for simply praying in this hallowed house of worship - that this entire enterprise is yet another public relations attempt by Ankara to whitewash its denial of both truth and justice for the Armenian Genocide, said Aram Hambarian, Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

“The test of Turkey's sincerity is not whether it stages one more PR trick; the true measure of its intentions is whether Turkey - at both the leadership and societal levels - is ready to fully come to terms, morally and materially, with the far reaching consequences of the Armenian Genocide,” he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
