Last Sunday Martin Sarkisyan, the acting head of the district, who represents the ruling Republican Party swung the election for the head of the administration of Yerevan municipal district Shengavit. He swung the elections where the nominee of "Republic" party, that has recently separated from Republican Party, failed. All the other nominees withdrew their candidates not long before the election.
