EU should keep up policy of non-recognition of conflict regions, Peter Semneby believes

EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby said that the EU will continue pursuing the policy of non-recognition of conflict regions.

According to him, it is of keen importance that Europe adheres closely to this stance.

"It is clear that there are serious barriers for the Russian-Georgian normalization and it is important that we do not forget these problems. Advancement of actual issues is within the two countries' interests, what is important from the practical point of view. However, it does not mean that we will lessen our attention with respect to the conflict matters," Georgia Online quoted Peter Semneby as saying.
