. Tomorrow in Yerevan the consulting meeting on the questions of NATO computer nets will start its work. During the visit, the group representatives including 15 European country scientists will visit the Institute of Physics, Byurakan observatory and other organizations that received grants from NATO. The meetings with the leaders of the organizations interested in the partnership with the Northatlantic union are also planned. At the meeting the head of the program on the questions of NATO computer nets, Volter Kofenberg will introduce a program project on computer net expansion in South Caucasus and Central Asia countries. Within the framework of the program called "Virtual Silk Highway", it is supposed to form the computer net, connecting scientific and educational centers of Caucasus and Central Asia countries with Europe. The preliminary cost of the program is $2.5 million. Similar meetings have been held in Georgia, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries.
