On November 18, Yerevan hosted a holiday of French wine - Beaujolais Nouveau.

French Consul to Armenia Frederic Grapin told a press conference that the holiday is marked in many countries of the world on the third Thursday of November.

According to initiator of the event, student, Ambassador to Lyon Lusine Arzumanyan, the initiative is aimed at using wine as a means of dialogue between sister cities of Yerevan and Lyons.

Europe Hotel manager Nubar Tatarian said for his part that 400 liters of the wine have already been delivered to Armenia. “Of course, it is a small volume, but it is only a start. The initiative aims to approximate the two wine cultures,” he said.

The wine holiday is organized in Yerevan by the French embassy in Armenia, Beaujolais chamber of commerce and industry, Europe hotel and Saberatour Sevan Voyage tour agency.
