Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been granted bail by a London judge.
A packed courtroom heard arguments by Geoffrey Robertson QC acting for Assange and the judge agreed to four bail conditions.
The freedom of information campaigner must provide 200,000 pounds to the court plus 40,000 pounds in surety from two separate individuals.
He must surrender his Australian passport and spend every day and night at a property in Suffolk, England belonging to his friend and former captain of the British Army, Vaugn Smith.
The court will electronically monitor Assange between 10pm and 2am and again between 2am and 2pm.
The extradition hearing has been adjourned until January 11.
The prosecution is considering an appeal, Radio Australia News reported.
