Armenian financial ombudsman’s office received 642 complaints in 2010.

“Most of them referred to banks (419), followed by pawn shops (80), credit organizations (75) and insurance companies (63),” financial ombudsman Piruz Sargsyan said.

Penalties at the amount of AMD 28.4mln, of which 11.8 mln exacted from banks, were paid to the citizens.
