According to the Consular Service of the NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, about 8000 foreign citizens visited the NKR in 2010, with tourist inflow increasing by 30% against 2009 results.

Beside CIS citizens, political and cultural figures, sportsmen, businessmen and tourists from the EU states, America, Asia, and Africa visited Artsakh. The inflow of tourists from Iran has increased over the last two years. Many foreigners visit the NKR more than once, with geography of foreign tourists visiting the NKR expanding every year.

Statistical data proves that despite active resistance of the official Baku, year by year Artsakh arouses interest in the world, NKR MFA Press Service reported.
