RA President Serzh Sargsyan stated that Armenia never sold or resold weapons to Iran.

“WikiLeaks cables mentioned one single case when several grenade launchers were transported to Iran. However, Armenia never sold or resold weapons to Iran, as we don’t have an agreement on military cooperation,” Sargsyan said in an interview with Echo of Moscow.

As to Iran’s nuclear program, the President said that Armenia recognizes Iran’s right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

“Of course, we would welcome IAEA control over this program,” he added.
