Zaruhi Postanjyan: Davutoglu’s aim to push pro-Azerbaijani resolution in PACE

Armenia has a serious task to engage Artsakh in the negotiation process, an MP said.

“Artsakh is an independent state, which should itself speak of its problems and plans,” Zaruhi Postanjyan, member of the Armenian delegation to PACE and Heritage parliamentary group, told a press conference in Yerevan.

Asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter to comment on the OSCE Minsk Group activity, she said that the problem is the insufficient Armenian diplomacy but not the Minsk Group.

Postanjyan also emphasized that Mevlut Davutoglu’s aim is to push a pro-Azerbaijani resolution in PACE. “We will spare no effort to prevent such a motion,” she said.

“If Artsakh has not been engaged in talks yet, we can say that the MG doesn’t work effectively. The fact is that the Madrid principles, which are anti-Armenian and anti-democratic, have been exhausted. The MG should continue its activity after Armenia’s recognition of Nagorno Karabakh, basing on new principles,” Heritage party spokesman Hovsep Khurshudyan added.
