Member of Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Rafael Huseynov said his country doesn’t object to the visit of Edward O’Hara, Rapporteur of the PACE Committee on Culture, Science and Education, to Nakhijevan but only after he visits Nagorno Karabakh to see “the remnants of demolished Azerbaijani monuments.”
“Mr. O’Hara is the chief rapporteur on cultural heritage not only in Azerbaijan but also in other countries. I have personally developed a document on a special mission on examination of Azerbaijani, Georgian and Armenian monuments in all three South Caucasus states,” Huseynov said.
He also said that “arrival in Nagorno Karabakh via the territory of Armenia is impossible.”
“When Mr. O’Hara takes the right stand and chooses the correct route, we will conduct a joint study,” Huseynov said, the Azeri-Press Agency reported.
