Washington hosts concert commemorating Hrant Dink

Young Turkish and Armenian musicians gave a friendship concert in Washington.

Turkish and Armenian musicians performed works of Ahmet Adnan Saygun, Edgar Manas, Dikran Cuhaciyan and dedicated an anonymous song "Sari Gelin" to slain Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink.

Ayse Taspinar played the piano, Petros Boyaciyan the violin and Garineh Avakian was the soprano performer in the concert, Anatolian News Agency reported.

"Sharing cultural heritage is the best way to understand each other, learn from each other, and to get closer to our friends," Turkey's Ambassador to the United States Namik Tan commented.
