Egypt advises Ankara against interfering in its affairs

Egypt protested Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s calls for Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to resign.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit wrote to his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu, advising Ankara not to interfere in Egypt's affairs, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Gheit asked Turkey to refrain from publishing further statements on the situation in Egypt saying it could harm relations between the two countries.
