On March 12, in Armenian town of Tsakhkadzor, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan commented on the results of presidential meeting in Sochi.
“In the long term, we expect that Karabakh talks will continue,” the President said.
The short-term agreements reached in Sochi are aimed at promoting ceasefire observation on contact line, help continue negotiations to reach sustainable results, the President noted. As he remarked, the investigation of incidents on contact line will provide a clear picture on the reality of the events reported. However, the president noted, readiness of the armed forces should be the first priority event during the negotiations.
“I believe Sochi meeting was different from all others, setting guidelines for the parties to follow. I hope my idea is not far from reality,” the President said.
On March 5, Sochi hosted a meeting between the Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan.
