Olympic countdown clock to be unveiled in London

In just 500 days, the world’s gaze will turn to the UK as the lights go up on the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.

A giant Omega clock will be unveiled at Trafalgar Square on Monday, March 14, which will tick over when the 2012 Olympic Games 500-days-to-go mark arrives on Tuesday.

The London 2012 countdown clock will be 6.5 meters high and 5.5m wide, and weighs nearly five tonnes, The Telegraph reported.
