Sardarapat movement has called on the Armenian National Congress (ANC) to renounce “Levon Ter-Petrosyan - President” slogan.

“Thousands of people who are against the current authorities do not join the rallies as they oppose to this slogan,” Sardarapat movement member, filmmaker Tigran Khzmalyan told a news conference on April 4.

Commenting on the statement by Armenian National Movement board chairman Aram Manukyan, who labeled the call as “unreasonable”, Khzmalyan expressed hope that it was Manukyan’s personal opinion.

Asked whether Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his ANC can sacrifice their ambitions to achieve change of power in the country, Khzmalyan advised to address this question to Ter-Petrosyan.
